About Danja Grehn
Danja Grehn — Veterinarian & Independent Clinical Consultant
I became a veterinarian because I love animals — and because the complexity of medicine deeply fascinates me. That has never changed.
After 14 years owning and leading my own small animal practice, I found myself looking for a new kind of professional challenge — one that would allow me to use my clinical knowledge in a deeper, more focused way. I genuinely miss the daily connection with patients and their owners; at the same time, I recognized how much I value complex case analysis, critical thinking, and the kind of thorough clinical review that busy practice life does not always allow.
That tension led me here — and to a question I kept coming back to: what would it look like to give complex cases the time and attention they truly deserve?
A Dedicated Space for Complex Cases
Vet Clinical Consulting grew out of that question. I work with pet owners and veterinary teams seeking careful, independent review of medical records, diagnostic findings, treatment history, and remaining clinical possibilities — particularly when a case remains unresolved, unusually complex, or emotionally and medically high-stakes.
My role is not to replace the primary veterinarian, but to support clearer thinking and more confident decisions.
Unbiased, Independent Perspective
I have no financial interest in which diagnostics, treatments, or procedures are chosen. One of the things I value most about this work is the ability to assess complex cases without the time pressure and financial constraints that can — understandably — influence decision-making in everyday clinical settings.
The focus is always on thoughtful, honest, and genuinely independent clinical assessment.
Pets and their owners are best served when decisions are made with the clearest possible understanding of the full clinical picture.
